PloppleMatch — Privacy Policy

The short version
- No accounts, no personal information, no tracking — ever.
- Only anonymous, aggregate gameplay tallies that cannot be linked to anyone.
- Ads are optional rewarded videos only, always non-personalized and child-safe.
Who we are
PloppleMatch (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a casual mobile triple-match puzzle game starring the Plopple monsters, from the same maker as PloppleDrop. This policy covers both the PloppleMatch iOS app and this website, plopplematch.com. The app has not shipped yet: this policy describes how it is built to behave at launch, and it applies to the website today. Contact: info@plopplematch.com.
Our approach
PloppleMatch is designed for a young audience, so we deliberately collect as little as possible:
- No account, no login. You do not create an account or give us your name, email, or phone number to play.
- No personal data collection by us. Your game progress (levels completed, collection, settings) is stored only on your device. We do not upload your progress, and we cannot see it.
- Anonymous, aggregate stats only. We keep global tallies of in-game actions (for example, total matches made across all players) to see how the game is played. These are aggregate totals only — they contain no personal information and no device identifiers, are not linked to you, and are not used to track you. We do not embed any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
On-device storage
The app saves your progress locally using your device’s standard app storage. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app.
Anonymous gameplay statistics
To understand how PloppleMatch is played, the app keeps simple global counters of in-game actions — for example, how many Plopples are tapped, how many triples are matched, or how many levels are completed — and periodically sends them as aggregate totals to a small first-party counter service we run on Cloudflare.
These counters are anonymous and aggregate by construction: they are plain running totals (e.g. “matches today: 12,034”). They include no account, no name, no device identifier, no IP address, and no per-person or per-session records — just numbers added to a shared tally. Because nothing is linked to you or your device, this is not “tracking,” needs no tracking permission, and does not change our non-personalized advertising. You cannot be identified from this data.
Advertising
PloppleMatch will show ads through Google AdMob to support the free game, in exactly one form: optional rewarded videos. To respect our young audience:
- Ads appear only when you choose to watch one — every reward moment starts with a clear “Watch ad?” prompt that includes a “No thanks” button. There are no banners, no interstitials, and nothing ever interrupts gameplay.
- The app requests child-directed treatment from AdMob, limiting ads to family-appropriate, non-personalized content where required.
- Ads are always non-personalized and capped at a G (General audiences) content rating. We never request cross-app tracking, so the app never shows the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt — there is no tracking to allow or deny.
Google’s handling of advertising data is governed by Google’s own policy: policies.google.com/privacy and AdMob & children.
Children’s privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Consistent with COPPA and the EU’s protections for minors:
- We collect no personal identifiers.
- Advertising is configured for child-directed treatment.
- There are no social features, chat, user-generated content, or external links to general-audience web content inside gameplay.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact info@plopplematch.com and we will address it promptly.
Purchases
PloppleMatch is free to play, and at launch it will have no in-app purchases — there is no energy system, and every level can be completed without paying or watching anything. If we ever add a single optional “supporter” purchase (a tip jar — nothing gated behind it), it would be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store: Apple handles the payment, we never receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID, and the purchase would be restorable through Apple in the usual way.
This website
plopplematch.com is a small set of static pages. It sets no cookies and currently runs no analytics — we don’t count, profile, or track visitors in any way. If we ever add simple, privacy-respecting page-view analytics, we will describe it in this section and update the effective date first.
Your choices
- Reset your data by deleting and reinstalling the app.
- Skip ads entirely — every ad is optional, and nothing you need to finish a level is behind one.
- Ad personalization is off by design — ads are always non-personalized, so there is no ad-tracking setting you need to change.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Effective date” above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
